SAM pages 4 et 5

Et oui, je reviens encore avec deux pages de SAM (atelier en ligne SKC animé par Nine) faites hier après-midi et dans la soirée.

Pour la page 4, j'ai eu un peu de mal. En fait j'ai d'abord fait une super page en utilisant un super tag numéroté. Le problème c'est que j'ai réalisé une fois la page finie que cette page était censée être la 4 alors que mon tag indiquait 3.... AAARRRGGHH. Du coup, je recommence, je bidouille et arrange a peu près les choses. Mais en y regardant de plus près, cette page ne me plaisait qu'à moitié:  re-AAARRRGGHH

Je démonte tout, je recommence encore en utilisant des couleurs un peu moins flashy et enfin ca y est, ma page est finie. Au final, elle ressemble pas mal à la 2ème version (au point que Emy n'a pas vu la différence au premier coup d'oeil... lol), mais bon le plus important c'est qu'elle me plaise un peu plus. Je ne dirais pas que c'est du 100% mais ca va. Je crois que c'est juste un peu trop rempli pour moi.

I disassembled everything again, and I start again using a little less flashy colors and finally, my page is finished. In the end, it is a lot like the second version (to the point that Emy did not see the difference at first glance ... lol), but hey the most important thing is that I like this one a little more. I would not say it is 100% but it's ok. I think it's just a bit too busy for me.

La page 5 par contre, je l'adore. En plus j'adore l'objet qui figure en photo, un petit meuble à couture, fait par le frère de ma grand-mère pour cette dernière. Il n'est peut-être pas magnifique, il est un peu abimé car plutôt fragile... mais il a une histoire, et c'est un objet que j'adore, car c'est la seule chose (mis a part le grille pain :-S) que j'ai hérité de ma grand-mère.

The page 5, on the other hand, I just love it. Plus I love the object that appears on the picture, a small sewing cabinet, made ​​by my grandmother's brother for her. It is perhaps not beautiful, it is a bit jaded because rather fragile ... but it has a story, and it is an object that I love, because it's the only thing (apart from the toaster:-S) that I inherited from my grandmother.

J'adore ce papier chevron, et avec le rose je trouve que cela rend assez sympa. Un peu de couture, du ruban dentelle, des splash de distress stain rose, un petit rub-on, etc. Bref, il y a un peu de tout sur cette page, toujours habillée de Dear Lizzy Neopolitan.

I love this chevron paper, and with pink I feel that it looks makes pretty nice. A little sewing, ribbon lace, splash of pink  distress stain, a little rub-on, etc.. In short, there is a bit of everything on this page, always dressed with Dear Lizzy Neopolitan collection.

Ce week-end, je pense mettre SAM en pause, pour pouvoir avancer sur un projet dont je ne peux rien dire pour le moment, et pour faire une page pour le deuxième tour du tournoi scrapidées, car oui, vous l'avez compris, j'ai passé le premier round!!

This weekend, I think I will hve a break with SAM, so I can work on a project I can't say anything about at the moment. And I will have to make a page for the second round of the scrapidées tournament scrapidées, because yes, you guessed it, I went through the first round!

Encore SAM

Aujourd'hui, juste un petit post pour vous montrer la suite de SAM(atelier en ligne SKC animé par Nine). Voici les pages des thèmes #2 et #3.

Comme le thème numéro 2 était quelque chose de caché, j'ai inscrit la signification de chacune de perles de mon bracelet sur un petit tag qui est glissé dans l'enveloppe.

J'ai encore utilisé mon distress stain blanc, ajouté quelques gouttes par-ci par-là, un peu de masking tape, et surtout du layering, chose à laquelle je sens que je succombe, et aussi du fil entortillé.

As the theme number 2 was something hidden, I put the meaning of each bead of my bracelet on a little tag placed into the envelope.
I used again my white distress stain, added a few drops here and there, some masking tape, and some layering, something I feel I succumbed to, and also twisted thread.

Aujourd'hui encore, je suis contente du résultat.
Je sens que mon scrap évolue pas mal en ce moment, avec la découverte du layering, l'utilisation de la couture ou juste de fil, et de plus d'encres et peintures. Quelle sensation agréable de sentir qu'on trouve son style, et de faire quelque chose qui me satisfait.

Today again, I'm happy with the result.
I feel that my scrapbook is changing a lot right now, with the discovery of the layering, the use of sewing or just thread, and inks and paints. What a nice feeling it is to finally find my style, and do something that satisfies me.

SAM grandit

J'ai bien avancé sur le projet SAM (atelier en ligne SKC animé par Nine) ces derniers jours.
J'ai choisi, imprimé et découpé les photos de chaque jour (jusqu'à aujourd'hui bien sur), et j'ai réalisé la deuxième de couverture, un petit intercalaire calque, et 2 pages.
Voilà ce que cela donne en images:

I made ​​good progress on the SAM project (SKC online worshop by Nine) in recent days.
I chose, printed and cut out the pictures of each day (until today of course), and I made the inside cover, a small velum page, and two pages.

Quelques taches à la peinture acrylique blanche (mélangée avec un peu d'eau), un splash au distress stain blanc, et quelques points de couture (je crois que je deviens accro) pour la partie de gauche, et un joli velum avec un tampon appareil photo et quelques mots résumant le principe de cet atelier SAM pour la droite. J'aime assez que l'on voit légèrement la page suivante par transparence...

Some spots with white acrylic paint (mixed with a little bit of water), a white splash with distress stain, and a few stitches (I think I am becoming addicted to sewing machine) for the left side, and a nice velum with a camera stamp and a few words summarizing the principle of SAM workshop for the right side. I quite like that the velum allow us to see the a little bit of the following page.

Pour la suite, on a bien entendu le verso de mon velum nuageux, et à droite, LA première page de l'album, avec encore un pschitt de peinture acrylique diluée, préparé par mes soins (et beaucoup plus économique que les spray du commerce, conseil de Nine mais que j'utilisais déjà), brad, tag...

The next page is of course the back of my cloudy velum, and on the right, THE first page of the album itself, with again a spray of diluted acrylic paint, prepared by me (much cheaper than commercial spray, Nine's trick that I was already using), brad, tag ...


Je crois que pour chaque page, je mettrai le thème du jour (ici : quelque chose d'utile) avec un alphabet sticker (kési'art, et quelques autres marques) et un journaling sous la forme "parce que ..." pour expliquer le choix de photo.
La page suivante est faite, en tout cas la partie gauche, mais comme elle est couplée a celle de droite, il vous faudra attendre que je finisse celle-ci pour voir les deux ensemble (demain si tout va bien)

Mon nouvel ami SAM

Mais qui est donc ce SAM??
Et bien SAM, ou Something About Me c'est un super atelier en ligne proposé par Nine et Maryse de la boutique Scrap Kit and Co.
Pendant tout le mois d'avril, elles nous proposent chaque jour un thème, du genre quelque chose de... A nous donc de trouver ou de faire une photo l'illustrant et bien sûr de la scrapper.
Pour nous aider, en plus du thème journalier, Nine nous donne pleins de conseils, de petits trucs et astuces, et des idées de mises en pages pour réaliser un chouette album.

Who is that SAM??
Well, SAM, or Something About Me, is a great workshop created by Nine and Maryse.
throughout the month of April, they suggest a new theme every day, like "something + adjective." Then it's our job to find or take a picture matching this theme and of course to make a nice scrapbook page about it.
To assist us, in addition to the daily theme, Nine gives us full of advice, tips and tricks, and ideas for layouts to make a nice album.


Pour cet atelier en ligne un kit était proposé avec la collection This and That d'Echo Park paper, mais comme j'avais déjà craqué sur la collection Neopolitan d'American Crafts, j'ai choisi de l'utiliser pour ce mini album.

For this online workshop a kit was proposed with the collection This and That from Echo Park paper, but as I already fell in love with the Neopolitan collection from American Crafts, I chose to use it for this mini album.


Aujourd'hui j'ai fait la couverture de SAM, et je suis super contente de moi. Grâce aux conseils de Nine, j'ai osé me lancer pour utiliser de nouvelles techniques et outils (pistolet à colle, couture à la machine a coudre, pliage de tissu pour réaliser une couverture...), et j'ai aussi réussi à adapter son modèle au matériel dont je disposais.
Je suis méga contente du résultat (je sais je me répète, c'est dire à quel point cela me plait!!).

Today I made ​​the cover of SAM, and I'm really pleased with myself. Thanks to Nine's advice, I dared to use new techniques and tools (glue gun, sewing machine, folding fabric to make a book cover ...), and I also managed to adapt her model to the material I had.
I'm sooo happy with the result (I know I already said it but that's how much I like it!).
